You know what they say… “BIG LAKE – BIG FISH” and it doesn’t get any bigger than Reindeer Lake. Reindeer Lake is one of the top, if not the top lake for Trophy Northern Pike, Walleye and Trophy Lake Trout fishing in North America not to mention Arctic Grayling making the Canadian grand slam of fishing all at your finger tips.
Fresh, blue, clear, cold water and over 95 tributaries and rivers have given Reindeer Lake a world renowned reputation of being a fish factory, Reindeer Lake has almost two million acres to hunt and conquer the fish of your dreams. The nineth biggest lake in North America and twenty second biggest on the planet but with one very important exception from many other big lakes out there. Reindeer Lake has 5500 islands on it. All those islands provide thousands of sheltered spots to fish in all weather conditions.
A trophy fish is too valuable to be caught only once. Reindeer Lake Lodge practice catch and release fishing. Other than your shore lunch, all fish are returned to the water to fight another day. Barbless hooks and proper release techniques will ensure that the trophy fish you catch will live and thrive for future fights.
Guests catching more than 100 fish per day happens so frequently that we have lost count!

NORTHERN PIKE
Northern Pike in these waters are renowned for their size and aggressive strikes. Anglers can expect to encounter trophy specimens exceeding 40 inches, making them formidable opponents that test skill and patience. Their powerful runs and sharp teeth require sturdy tackle and careful handling to ensure a successful catch-and-release experience.
walleye
Walleye, known locally as pickerel, are a staple of Northern Saskatchewan’s sport fishing. Targeting trophy Walleye, particularly those over 10 pounds, requires knowledge of seasonal patterns and habitat preferences. Early morning and late evening offer peak feeding times, with jigging or trolling effective in drawing strikes. The Walleye’s distinct yellowness and keen taste make it highly prized among anglers and culinary enthusiasts alike.
lake trout
Lake Trout, native to the deep, cold lakes of Northern Saskatchewan, are prized not only for their impressive size—often topping 30 pounds—but also for their fighting spirit. Casting spoons or trolling deep divers with live bait can result in hookups with massive trout that inhabit depths exceeding 50 metres. Their elusive nature adds an exciting element to every fishing trip.
ARCTIC GRAYLING
Arctic Grayling, with their sail-like dorsal fins and graceful movements, add an artistic dimension to trophy fishing. Though smaller in size compared to other species, the challenge lies in spotting and enticing these fish in crystal-clear river systems. Fly fishing enthusiasts often find grayling fishing to be a highlight, requiring delicate presentations and steady patience.
